LiVES began way back in 2002 but is still under development and is expected to release version 1.0 in 2008. Current versions are useable but have a somewhat awkward interface and featureset.

A few updates posed on the LiVES Website...
- The project development should be picking up speed
- The yahoo newsgroup is closed & replaced with sourceforge mailing lists and a new forum
